Master of Food and Nutrition (Program Code: 095500) at Dongguan University of Technology is a full-time professional master’s program. Rooted in the development needs of the food and big health industry in Dongguan and the Greater Bay Area, the program aims to cultivate application-oriented, interdisciplinary and innovative high-level engineering talents in food and nutrition. Focusing on professional demands in the food and nutrition sector, the program targets the training of outstanding food and nutrition engineers with solid professional literacy and strong engineering practical competence. Students are required to master theories, practical methodologies, industrial policies and regulations covering food nutrition, food processing, molecular nutrition and intelligent food equipment. They will be well versed in engineering ethics and academic norms, and equipped with capabilities in food research and development, quality regulation, intelligent operation and maintenance, project planning, technological breakthrough and practical research. Graduates are competent for industrial development and professional technical services in food enterprises, health institutions, research institutes, government regulatory authorities and medical institutions. It offers two specialized tracks: Food Nutrition and Health and Food Processing Engineering, closely aligning with industrial frontiers and regional industrial demands. Adopting a 2-year full-time study mode, the curriculum covers core courses including Food Mechanical Engineering, Modern Food Nutrition, and Principles and Applications of Food Processing Technology.
