Simin Hunag, male, born in December 1985, is a professor with a doctoral degree, serving as Deputy Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering and Energy Technology at Dongguan University of Technology, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Key Laboratory of Distributed Energy Systems, and Director of the Guangdong Provincial Engineering Research Center for Distributed Energy Systems. He earned his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Wuhan University of Science and Technology in June 2007 and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from South China University of Technology in June 2012. Since then, he has been working at the School of Chemical Engineering and Energy Technology at Dongguan University of Technology. From December 2016 to June 2017, he served as a visiting scholar at the National University of Singapore. |
Simin has been recognized as a Guangdong Provincial Young Pearl River Scholar, selected for the Guangdong Provincial High-Quality Young Faculty Training Program, included in the first batch of Dongguan's Special Support Plan for High-Level Talent Development, recognized as a Guangdong Provincial High-Quality Teacher and Outstanding Science and Technology Worker, and more. He has led 11 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and the Guangdong Provincial University Characteristic Innovation Program, and participated in two sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program and one general project of the National Natural Science Foundation. As the first author or corresponding author, he has published 70 papers in SCI journals such as Appl. Energ., Energy, Int. J. Heat Mass Transf., and J. Mem. Sci., along with 6 papers in EI journals like Chemical Engineering Journal and Journal of Engineering Thermophysics. He independently authored a monograph of 270,000 words published by Science Press, with his works cited over 1,500 times in SCI. Currently, he has been granted 4 U.S. patents and 12 Chinese invention patents as the first inventor, completed one technology transfer, and received the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Achievement Award (Rank 1), the Innovative Dongguan Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award. He led the development of automated precision positioning technology for hollow fiber membranes used in gas/liquid and gas/gas separation, achieving preliminary independent commercialization, which was evaluated by the Guangdong Mechanical Engineering Society as domestically leading in overall performance and internationally advanced in some technologies. He has been invited to serve as an editorial board member for SCI journals such as Energies, as a guest editor for Separation and Purification Technology (IF: 7.312) and Separation Science and Technology (IF: 2.475), and as an expert in the National Science and Technology Expert Database and a council member of the Guangdong Young Scientists Association. |
