Hai-Yan Su, Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor.
She earned her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in 2009 from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, under the supervision of Academician Bao Xinhe and Researcher Li Wei-Xue (NSFC Distinguished Young Scholar). From January 2009 to December 2010, she conducted postdoctoral research at the Technical University of Denmark, collaborating with Professors Jens Norskov and Jan Rossmeisl. From March 2011 to August 2019, she worked at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, first at the State Key Laboratory of Catalysis (March 2011–June 2015) and then at the State Key Laboratory of Molecular Reaction Dynamics (July 2015–August 2019). In August 2019, she joined Dongguan University of Technology as a leading academic talent. She currently serves as the Director of the Dongguan Key Laboratory of Modern Separation Technology. |
Hai-Yan Su specializes in theoretical studies of heterogeneous catalysis, focusing on first-principles calculations and micro-kinetics to elucidate reaction mechanisms and design advanced materials for carbon-based energy and hydrogen catalytic conversion. She has authored/co-authored over 70 SCI-indexed papers, including 40 as (co-)first author or corresponding author in prestigious journals such as Nature Communications, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, and ACS Catalysis. Her work includes 1 ESI Highly Cited Paper, 1 Cover Article, 1 Feature Article, and 3 Hot Papers (1 Inside Cover, 1 Editors' Choice), with a total of >9,200 citations, a single paper exceeding 4,000 citations, and an H-index of 34. She has served as Principal Investigator for 1 NSFC Youth Fund, 3 NSFC General Projects, 1 Independent Research Project from the State Key Laboratory of Catalysis (DICP), and 1 High-Level Talent Program at Dongguan University of Technology.
