Xu Yongjun, D.Eng. , Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor, serves as Vice President of Dongguan University of Technology. He is a provincial-level candidate for Guangdong's "Thousand-Hundred-Ten" Talent Development Program and an expert recipient of the State Council Special Allowance. His leadership roles include Director of the Engineering Technology Research Center for Efficient Pyrolysis Utilization of Non-grain Biomass in Guangdong's Higher Education Institutions, Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Distributed Energy Systems in Guangdong, Executive Deputy Director, and Council Member of the Dongguan New Energy Research Institute.


Mainly engaged in research on biomass energy, hydrogen energy, andBiomass-based Pharmaceutical Chemicals, he has led 2 general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, 5 provincial and ministerial-level projects, and 6 municipal-level projects. As the first or corresponding author, he has published 11 papers in CAS Zone 1 journals  and 21 papers in CAS Zone 2 journals . He has been granted 15 national invention patents, applied for 20 national invention patents, transferred 6 patents, and developed 14 new products. In 2025, he received 1 technology transfer project (8 million yuan). In 2010, he won the Second Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Technology Progress Award, and in 2011, he received the Second Prize of the Dongguan Science and Technology Progress Award. In 2013, he won the First Prize of the Dongguan Science and Technology Progress Award. In 2025, he received the First Prize of the China Logistics and Procurement Research Association Science and Technology Progress Award (First Place).
