Dr. Tang Caiming has long been engaged in research on environmental analytical chemistry and the application and theory of chromatography and mass spectrometry. In recent years, he has achieved a series of scientific research accomplishments, such as: (1) Independently developing a specific screening algorithm for perfluoro and polyfluoro compounds, establishing a non-targeted analysis method for perfluoro and polyfluoro alkyl substances (PFASs) using liquid chromatography and high-resolution mass spectrometry, and for the first time discovering iodinated polyfluoroalkyl acids; (2) Developing multiple big data processing algorithm programs for non-targeted and comprehensive screening analysis of organic pollutants using chromatography and high-resolution mass spectrometry, as well as DOM (dissolved organic matter) data processing programs; (3) Applying chromatography and high-resolution mass spectrometry and ultra-high-resolution mass spectrometry technologies, in combination with self-developed chromatography and mass spectrometry big data processing algorithm programs, to establish non-targeted screening, identification, and quantitative/semi-quantitative analysis methods for halogenated organic pollutants in various environmental matrices and biological samples, revealing their comprehensive occurrence characteristics, including species characteristics, content levels, and distribution characteristics. He has published 80 papers, including 45 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author, most of which were published in high-level journals in the fields of analytical chemistry and environmental science (22 papers in the first category of the Chinese Academy of Sciences), such as Analytical Chemistry, Nature Communications, NPJ Clean Water, Environmental Science & Technology, Analytica Chimica Acta, and Journal of Chromatography A. His total citations exceed 3,910 times (Google Scholar), with an H-index of 28. He co-authored the monograph "Frontiers in Environmental Chemistry (Volume 3)" (Science Press). He has won the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has completed a National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Project (2016–2019). Currently, he serves as a young editorial board member of the core Chinese journal "Chromatography" (2023-2026) and a member of the Mass Spectrometry Professional Committee of the Guangdong Association for Analytical Testing. He has completed two Guangdong Provincial Basic and Applied Basic Research Fund Regional Joint Fund projects (600,000 yuan) and is currently responsible for a research topic in a National Natural Science Foundation of China Regional Innovation Development Joint Fund Key Support Project (625,000 yuan). |
