Haiming Huang, male, Ph.D., Professor. He joined Dongguan University of Technology in 2018 and received the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2021. He has been selected for the Hebei Province "San San San Talent" Program, the Hebei Provincial Higher Education Institution Young Top-Notch Talent Program, the Dongguan City Distinguished Talent Program, the Dongguan University of Technology Discipline Leader Program, and has been recognized among the Top 100,000 Global Scientists. His main research focuses on wastewater treatment and resource recovery technology; nitrogen and phosphorus pollutant recovery technology and engineering applications; and microbial immobilization technology for advanced wastewater treatment and engineering applications. In recent years, he has secured and led over 20 research projects, including projects under the National Key Technology Support Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and the Hebei Provincial Natural Science Foundation. He has published more than 100 academic papers in core domestic and international journals, including over 60 SCI-indexed papers as first author or corresponding author, and has been granted over 20 national invention patents (with 3 patents transferred). He received the Second Prize of the 2019 China Environmental Technology Advancement Award (ranked first) and the Second Prize of the 2017 China Industry-University-Research Collaboration Innovation Award (ranked first)

1.Wastewater Treatment and Resource Recovery Technology:

Focuses on high-concentration, refractory industrial wastewater (such as textile dyeing, electroplating, and food processing effluent) and municipal sewage. The aim extends beyond meeting discharge standards to emphasize the recovery of valuable materials and energy from wastewater streams.

2. Nitrogen and Phosphorus Pollutant Recovery Technology and Engineering Applications:

Shifts the paradigm from mere "treatment and removal" to "recovery and utilization." This direction focuses on converting nitrogen and phosphorus from pollutant loads into usable fertilizers or industrial raw materials, aligning with the concepts of the "Zero-Waste City" and the circular economy.

3. Microbial Immobilization Technology for Advanced Wastewater Treatment and Engineering Applications:

Involves immobilizing highly active functional microorganisms (e.g., nitrogen/phosphorus removal bacteria, strains that degrade specific pollutants) onto carriers. This strategy enhances microbial concentration, activity, and shock-load resistance within bioreactors, enabling stable and highly efficient advanced treatment of wastewater.
