Qile Ding Ph.D., is an associate professor and a supervisor for master's degree candidates. He is a member of the Huang Danian-style teaching team. He serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Civil Engineering, the Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Intelligent Disaster Prevention and Emergency Technologies for Urban Lifeline Engineering, and a member of the Graduate Education Steering Committee for the first-level discipline of Civil Engineering and the professional degree program in Civil and Hydraulic Engineering at Dongguan University of Technology, where he is responsible for the construction and daily management of the master's degree program in Civil and Hydraulic Engineering. His primary research focuses on geotechnical engineering and geological engineering. He has presided over 5 vertical scientific research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 2 enterprise-commissioned projects, such as research on soft soil foundation treatment technology in the Binhaiwan New Area and the physical and mechanical properties of Dongguan mudstone as well as its weakening laws when exposed to water, and 3 teaching and research projects. He has published over 20 academic papers, obtained 8 authorized invention patents, and participated in the formulation of 2 enterprise standards.
