Dr. Zhou Qingfeng is a professor. He obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2000, his master's degree from Clemson University in the United States in 2003, and his Ph.D. in Communication from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2010. In 2011, he worked as a research assistant at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, focusing on network coding. In 2012, he conducted postdoctoral research on interference alignment at the City University of Hong Kong. In October 2012, he joined Hefei University of Technology and was appointed as a specially-recruited professor under the "Huangshan Young Scholars" program. In 2017, he joined Dongguan University of Technology and was appointed as a specially-recruited professor under the "Leading Talent B-level" program.

Software-related fields:Signal processing, digital image processing, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and key technologies of 5G/6G, etc.

Hardware-related fields:Mainly focus on the development of smart wearable devices and intelligent sensors, etc.


Scientific Research Achievements

In terms of scientific research platforms, as the project leader, he successfully secured the establishment of a school-level research institution at Dongguan University of Technology in 2021 and a municipal key laboratory in Dongguan in 2022.

Regarding scientific research projects, he has presided over several significant projects, including two National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) General Projects (with funding of 800,000 yuan and 650,000 yuan respectively), one Guangdong-Dongguan Joint Fund Regional Cultivation Project (with funding of 300,000 yuan), one major Guangdong provincial science and technology project (with funding of 3 million yuan), one key project in key fields of Guangdong provincial universities (with funding of 125,000 yuan), and one horizontal project (with funding of 600,000 yuan). To date, he has published over 30 papers, including more than 10 SCI international journal papers in IEEE JSAC/TWC/TCOM/CL, etc. He holds over 10 authorized patents and has published one monograph (published by Posts & Telecom Press).

His current main research interests include the Internet of Things (IoT), smart hardware (wearable devices), and big data applications.

During his tenure at Hefei University of Technology, he served as a doctoral supervisor. Currently, he is a master's supervisor at Dongguan University of Technology and has jointly supervised a total of 14 master's students and 3 doctoral students.
